Engine Indication Systems (EIS)

Take the guesswork out of fuel and engine management for your aircraft with EIS from Garmin. Our solutions make it easy to see and analyze critical engine, fuel and electrical parameters to help you maintain the best, most efficient performance from your aircraft while you protect your investment.

THE DIGITAL ENGINE MONITORING ADVANTAGE

Say goodbye to living with unreliable, error-prone, inaccurate analog gauges that provide only limited information about your aircraft systems. Say hello to retrofit Garmin EIS solutions that display precise, real-time indications of critical information on bright, sunlight-readable, intuitive displays.

View all your engine, fuel and electrical data in one easy-to-read display. See real-time engine information for better engine management. See cautions, exceedances and warnings before it’s too late. And protect your investment with automatic data logging that you can share with your service team to help you spot maintenance issues sooner.

PRIMARY DATA THAT SIMPLIFIES ENGINE MANAGEMENT

Our EIS solutions serve as the primary source of data and help consolidate information typically depicted with multiple analog gauges1. They can be configured to display a wide range of indications. In piston aircraft, that includes RPM, % power, manifold pressure (if applicable), CHT/EGT, fuel quantity, electrical status, and more. In turbine aircraft, that includes % power, Ng/N1, prop speed (NP) and ITT. Indication-specific timers and advisories help prevent exceedances, and automatic exceedance logging provides maintenance teams with detailed reports — without the need for the pilot to manually log data.

ENGINE INTERFACE MODULES

Our GEA engine interface and monitoring module is required to convert engine sensor information to a digital format that can be displayed on an EIS. The specific GEA you choose depends on your aircraft class. Consult your Garmin dealer to determine which GEA is required for your installation.

GEA 24

This is designed for installation in FAR Part 23 Class I/II aircraft (light single- and twin-engine aircraft weighing less than 6,000 lbs).

GEA 110

This is designed for installation in FAR Part 23 Class I/II/III aircraft (piston single- and twin-engine aircraft weighing less than 12,500 lbs).

GEA 71B

This is designed for installation in turbine-powered aircraft with additional interface capabilities with turbine capable engine sensors.
